Dr. Daren Lin received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Western Ontario. He completed his Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residency at McMaster University, totalling more than ten years of post-secondary education,
He has been an assistant clinical professor of family medicine since 2009 at McMaster. He was previously the department chair of undergraduate emergency medicine at the medical school. He is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians, awarded to physicians with more than ten years of exemplary contribution to Family Medicine in Canada by merit.
He keeps up to date on all the latest medical advances regarding the latest therapies with regular continuing medical education. The most valuable part of his education has been the ones his patients have taught him, especially regarding the meaning of life.
He has worked as a small-town Family Doctor (Dundas), Trauma-centred ER physician (Hamilton), Community ER physician (Guelph), and Hospital Physician at a national-level Mental Health and Addiction Hospital (Homewood). Currently, he maintains privileges at Groves Memorial, where he performs procedures, is on-call, sees admitted patients, provides chemotherapy for oncology patients, and covers the Emergency Department so that Arthur patients may sometimes see a familiar face at these services. He also heads the Arthur Musculoskeletal Health clinic where he performs ultrasound-guided injections for joint and soft-tissue problems in rural Wellington County (www.arthurmsk.ca).
He understands that health is not always found in a pill. He finds it rewarding to help patients achieve optimal physical and mental well-being through nutrition, exercise, self-care, and psychological interventions. He looks forward to working with you to achieve your health goals with professionalism and understanding.
Dr. Paul B. Jones received his Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University and completed his medical residency in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at McMaster University.
He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine since 2015 and is currently Chair of the Board of the Upper Grand Family Health Team, after serving previously as the Vice Chair of the Board.
He previously worked at Guelph General Hospital as a Community ER physician and as a physician with Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre in Kitchener, Ontario.
Dr. Jones was a founding member of Arthur Family Practice Associates with Dr. Landoni prior to his retirement, which was established with the intent of enhancing physician recruitment to Arthur Ontario.
Currently, he maintains privileges at Groves Memorial where he is on-call, sees admitted patients, and works at the UGFHT after-hours clinic approximately once per month.
Dr. Jones grew up around a family beef farm where he learned the importance of hard work and not quitting until the work is done. He knew that one day he would want to make a home and raise a family as well in a rural environment. He enjoys working with his wife Danielle Jones, a former critical care nurse, who is an excellent office manager of the practice. Paul and Danielle work together to better serve the hard-working people of Arthur and area. We look forward to working with you and your families to achieve your health goals.
We welcome interest from physicians who might be interested in joining our thriving rural family practice and growing our practice to better serve the people of Arthur and Wellington North.
